Today was our brine shrimp toxicity lab.  Students placed brine shrimp in petri dishes, then exposed them to various household chemicals (perfume, caffeine, hand sanitizer) to determine the toxicity.  

This week, each group researched an ocean pollutant, made a graphic organizer and presented them to the class.

On 10/8 and 10/10, we continued and finished the water quality testing lab.

Lab Reflection Homework:

Today we started a water quality testing lab.  This will likely last through next week.  We are going to test water for bacteria, pH, alkalinity, hardness, salinity, carbon dioxide and oxygen.
