As 2014 begins, I want to create a closer sense of community within our classroom.  That is why I came up with the idea of "Lunch with Mr. Ferrel" !  I have a sign-up sheet at the front of my room where students can sign up to come and hang out during lunch.  I encourage students to bring their lunch with them but snacks are also provided.  I want this to be a safe space so students can talk about their week, classes, problems, or any fun stories!  

On December 11, YOKA will be hosting a Common Core State Standards (CCSS) night.  The community will learn about the new standards and how they are being implemented at YOKA.
